Make a short film to enter the 48-Hour Film Frenzy. Win great prizes!

In partnership with Sask Film Pool, join us for the 48 hour Film Frenzy. Return to this listing at Friday, June 28 at 4:00 pm to find out the required elements that must be included in your short film. When the 48 hours are up, teams must submit their completed films on the FilmFreeway website by 6:00 PM, June 30 to qualify for the Screening and Awards Event.

This year, there will be two filmmaking options: analogue or digital.

Three required elements:
1. Theme: Community (This can be interpreted in any way, as long as it is evident in your film)

2. Line of Dialogue: "How did you get here?" (This dialogue can be in any language, as long as non-English dialogue has English subtitles)

3. Prop: Scissors (Please don't run with them)

The Screening Event will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, 7:00 pm at RPL Film Theatre. A panel of judges will decide on the winning films, and the audience will vote on their pick for the People’s Choice Award.

• Event Rules:
o     This event is open to people of any age.
o     Teams must live in Regina to be eligible for a prize.
o     Films must be completed within the allotted 48 hours and submitted by Sunday, June 30, 6:00 PM.
o     Films must be a minimum of 2.5 minutes and a maximum 5:00 minutes long. Shorter or longer films will be disqualified.
o     Films must be PG-appropriate and must not contain nudity, sexual/violent scenes, offensive language, or be discriminatory in any way.
o     One film submission per team.
o     Dunlop Art Gallery reserves the right to select submitted films for the Screening Event.
o     Any team that enters the contest agrees to have their films published on Dunlop Art Gallery and Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative's YouTube accounts.
o     One team member must register to receive the film upload link.
o     Plan enough time to upload your film onto FilmFreeway.
o     Participants whose films have been selected for the Screening Event will be asked to approve to have films downloaded on FilmFreeway for the Screening Event.
