International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in Turkey, which has been running for 32 years. Our guests do not only get the chance to participate in various events, workshops during the festival and meet outstanding filmmakers, screenwriters, actors/actresses; but also see the natural and historical places of the beautiful city of Adana, meet the most warm-blooded people ever.

Rules & Terms

GENERAL RULES
* Completion years of the films must be 2025 or 2026.
* Films longer than 20 minutes will be disqualified.
* All films must have embedded English subtitles.
* Half-board accomodation in a 4 star hotel and domestic transfer of the finalist directors will be covered by Adana Metropolitan Municipality. All other expenses must be covered by directors.

INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION
* Director should be a Non-Turkish citizen.
* A director is allowed to submit only 1 film.
* A distributer is allowed to submit 5 films.
* There is no categorization as animation, feature, documentary or experimental. 5-10 finalist films of all categories will be selected after pre-elimination.

NATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION
* Director should be a Turkish citizen.
* A director is allowed to submit only 1 film.
* A distributer is allowed to submit 5 films.
* There is no categorization as animation, feature, documentary or experimental. 5-10 finalist films of all categories will be selected after pre-elimination.

NATIONAL STUDENT SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
* This category is only available for 'UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' who study in 'Radio Cinema Television', 'Communication' and other related departments of Fine Arts or Communication Faculties in TURKISH UNIVERSITIES.
* All submitters must be able to officially prove that they are/were undergraduate students or associate degree students while shooting the film.
* A director is allowed to submit 2 films.

NATIONAL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE SHORT FILM COMPETITION
* Director should be a Turkish citizen.
* A director is allowed to submit 2 films.
* There is no categorization as animation, feature, documentary or experimental. 5-10 finalist films of all categories will be selected after pre-elimination.

    31.Altın Kozada Öğrenci Kategorisinde belgeselim finalist oldu ve iyisiyle kötüsüyle 1 haftalık güzel bir festival süreci geçirdik, tüm festival ekibine diğer yıllarda eksiklikleri giderip daha da güzel bir festival olmasını diliyorum

    Çektiğim film Öğrenci Belgesel kategorisinde finalist oldu. Benim için heyecanlı ve gurur verici bir deneyimdi fakat özellikle ödül töreni tam bir hayal kırıklığı oldu. Uzun metrajların öne çekilip ödüllerin açıklanması sonrası salonda sadece kısa filmciler kaldı ve yalnız bırakıldı. Kategorinin ana jürisini gösterimde ve ödül töreninde göremedik ve ödülleri kimsenin kalmamasından mütevellit birkaç kişi verdi.

    Kısa filmler ses ve görüntü kalitesi oldukça düşük bir salonda gösterildi, itirazlar sonrası farklı salon ayarlandı ama ayarlanan saatler itibariyle katılım oldukça düşük oldu. Öğrenci filmlerine ise bu bile sağlanmadı.

    Bu denli köklü bir festivalin böylesi basit hatalarla kalitesine zarar vermesi üzücü. Şahsım adına Altın Koza'nın umurunda olur mu bilmem ama daha da Altın Koza'ya gitmem:)

I sadly couldn't make it to the festival in person but the social media team made sure to cover the festival thoroughly. I felt like I was there.
