We are inviting filmmakers, visual artists and film students from all over the world to send their films in the categories of fiction, documentary, animation or experimental to the International 2 Sides Short Film Festival Edition #5.

At 2YKFF, we care about bringing 2 sides together in every sense. We focus on the experiences of all identities, their ways of living, their races, ethnicities, beliefs and gender while presenting unique short films from different cultures and categories in our selections. We experience new ways of collective viewing by organizing boutique film screenings and festival events at alternative venues.

Every year, we collaborate with a film/art initiative from a different part of the world to create opportunities for collective thinking, research and creation in the field of short film. After our collaborations with Balkan Can Kino from Athens, bi’bakino from Berlin, Galerie de Jaloezie from Rotterdam and DZIGA from Nijmegen in the previous years, we are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Stockholm based FetFilm this year.

"INTIMACIES”
The International 2 Sides Short Film Festival, driven by the emphasis on "our differences, our diversity, our sensitivity," is curious about the diversity of encounters, intersections, and possibilities in the local, universal, and virtual realms, as well as the new place created by these encounters. By focusing on the theme "INTIMACIES", the festival seeks to explore new ways of forming connections and experiencing the new worlds that emerge from these connections.

We are waiting for your short film productions that are made in 2020 or after, and are between 5-20 minutes. While selecting the films that will take part at the festival, we give importance to unique, innovative stylistic elements and a consistent aesthetic as much as the theme and content. We are very excited to watch your films!

*International 2 Sides Short Film Festival is conducted by Digital Film Atelier (DFA).
