The fifth annual 12°N, 61°W Grenada Film Festival (1261FF) is a Caribbean-destination event from October 25 - 29, 2023.

Dedicated to the belief that diverse representation on/off screen is paramount, 1261FF Founder Meschida Philip conceived the festival in 2019 to strengthen the Grenadian film community by fostering resource sharing, education, and artistic collaboration.

The 1261FF showcases an array of creative works from the Caribbean and African diaspora, spotlighting filmmakers and stories that reinforce positive images and help to destroy negative stereotypes. Audiences get to explore new worlds through cinema.

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful tri-island state of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique, in October 2023!

UNESCO proudly supports the 1261 Film Festival.

It was an absolute honour to have my film 'Wax Print included in the inaugural 1261 Grenadian Film Fest for it's Caribbean premiere. I felt like I was treated with respect and courtesy, every step of the way from acceptance to screening. Meschida is an absolute legend! Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend in person so I cannot comment on Networking and Hospitality, but I'm sure it was great. I believe this festival will grow from strength to strength and I can't wait to showcase my future films at future editions of this great festival. Peace, Aiwan

friendly atmosphere. The venue was immaculate and the beach and after party looked fun.
