"The World in Miniature, held in Glasgow,Scotland, is an exciting film festival dedicated to short films. It provides an opportunity for young directors, writers and cinematographers to showcase their talent and creativity in the short meter format. The festival supports innovative ideas as well as provide an opportunity to discuss the creative process with industry professionals. "The World in Miniature" opens the doors to a cinematic world where length doesn't matter and art can flourish in the most unexpected forms.

We select films each month, and present the best with an award in each category. The World in Miniature International Film Festival is a great opportunity for all filmmakers. We accept films from all over the world.

Awards & Prizes

The World in Miniature International Film Festival will award winners in the following sections:

- Best Short Film.
- Best Documentary Short Film.
- Best Animated Short Film
- Best Music Video
- Best Trailer
- Best Poster

Rules & Terms

- All submitted films and projects must not cause any legal disputes, and the director must have all rights to the music and exhibitions. On the other hand, filmmakers and screenwriters retain full rights to their projects and materials that they submit to the World in Miniature International Film Festival.

- The Film Festival will have the right to use footage, trailer, posters, stills, synopsis and/or titles and information from the film for promotional purposes only through FilmFreeway or on the Festival website and social media.

- The Festival reserves the right to change any information (including festival dates, venues, events, awards and eligibility requirements) without prior notice.

- The submission fee is non-refundable.
- There are no restrictions on year of release.
- There are no premiere requirements.
- If you are not a winner, you may submit your film again.
- Films can only be submitted through FilmFreeWay.com. We must receive a download link to your movie to make sure we have it in case it is the final winner and will be shown at our annual event.
- All movies must be in English or with English subtitles. Non-English language films without subtitles will not be considered.
- Under "Movie Posters and Movie Photos" you may submit one poster or 2 photos at a time. If you have more, you can submit again.
