Will Suen is the son of immigrant Cantonese rural restaurant owners who migrated to Australia in the ’80s. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Graduate Certificate in Directing from the Australia Film Television and Radio School, he started his career as a documentary filmmaker creating online content for Bauer Media. It was in this role that he travelled across Australia meeting and filming everything from celebrities, designers and artists to weight loss success stories. Since then, he has worked professionally across a wide range of roles in the screen industry. Today he has built a professional career spanning film lighting, camera assisting, production design, editing, producing and directing.

His directorial work spans across a diverse field including feature documentaries, TV commercials, music videos and short films. His short films have been screened internationally at Brooklyn Film Festival, Aesthetica Film Festival amongst many others.
