The 2018 Warsaw Independent Film Festival will have space for dozens of films, music videos, animations, documentaries and screenplays. The festival prioritizes low-budget films of independent spirit and exciting new talent.
We are looking for Submissions that:
Are based on innovative artistic presentation and storytelling.
Provoke an emotional response.
Show a mastery of filmmaking craftsmanship.
Our mission is to bring together Art, Cinema and Industry, while presenting a bazaar of exceptional films and filmmakers from around the world.
If you’re a budding or professional film-maker or student director, get involved by submitting your film.
In addition, our mission is to bridge the gap between dedicated independent film audiences and filmmakers, as well as to connect emerging filmmakers with established industry professionals. Our main goal is to democratize the movie business and create a space for movie makers to screen their works.
Awards & Prizes
Jury members are being acquainted with the main competition program when it is shown during the festival. After watching the films, jury selects winners in the following nominations:
Best Short Film; Best Director; Best Cinematography; Best Soundtrack / Original Music; Best Filmscript; Best Animation; Best Documentary; Best Music Video.
Rules & Terms
Films with non-English dialogue must be submitted with English subtitles.
If you add more than ONE project, all your films and scripts will not be accepted.
All projects must have been completed after January 1st, 2016. Other projects will be disqualified
We only accept digital submissions. We accept no hardcopy submissions.
We accept films that have been shown at other festivals.
All films must be submitted with an online screener.
All topics are eligible.
Please be sure to accurately label your film in it’s appropriate category.
The judging panel for awards is entirely independent of the festival committee and their decision is final.
The festival reserves the right to use brief clips from all selected films to promote the screenings.
Films that are submitted are not guaranteed to be accepted into festival.
No refunds are available for film submissions.
