The Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF) is a charitable organization with the mission to exhibit and promote Latin American films in Vancouver, BC, Canada. We showcase the works of both emerging and established independent filmmakers from across Latin America and the diaspora.
Since 2003, every autumn we present our annual 11-day festival to explore and celebrate the art of contemporary Latin American and Latin-Canadian filmmaking.
VLAFF provides Vancouver audiences with the opportunity to experience a dynamic selection of contemporary Latin American cinema and interact with guest filmmakers from around the world.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the small size of our Festival, we are only able to accept submissions for the following categories:
-Short Film Competition - short films by Latin American directors or with Latin American content
-Canada Looks South - feature-length and short narrative and documentary films by Latin-Canadian directors and/or Canadian directors of other backgrounds who make films with Latin American content
Our feature-length film programs are curated by the Programming Committee (by invitation only). Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
