UNVEIL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is a monthly, online international event with an annual outdoor live screening festival on beautiful Vancouver Island. A monthly online winner will be selected and showcased every month and receive a cash prize, with an annual outdoor live festival highlighting all selected winners. Official selections will all be included in the monthly showcase. We accept work from independent film makers producing documentaries, documentary shorts, narrative features, short films, animations, music videos, and web series. Each month our judges watch, review and rate the submitted films. Each month one work is selected as the ‘Film of the Month’. Additionally, each month, one filmmaker will be highlighted in the Filmmakers corner with their featured bio.

Every Month the ‘Film of the Month’ will receive a cash award of ($100USD), and all winners will receive a free wavier code for their next submission.
‘Film of the Month’ winners will also have the option to a meeting with industry insiders to pitch or present current or future projects for distribution on the Unveiltv Channel.

Best Short Film of The Month - Digital Certificate + one wavier code per film for their next submission.
Best Feature Film of the Month - Digital Certificate + one wavier code per film for their next submission.
Best Web Series of The Month - Digital Certificate + one wavier code per film for their next submission.
Best Documentary Film of the Month - Digital Certificate + one wavier code per film for their next submission.
Filmmaker of The Month - Highlighted written feature on the UIFF website.

Yearly Festival Awards are as follows:

Film Of The Year Award - Cash Prize of $1000 USD. This award is given to the jury’s top selection from all Official Selections during the year.
Audiences Choice Award - Awarded to top film as selected by the audience at the yearly festival event.

Rules & Terms

SUBMISSION
Filmmakers can submit their films to UIFF online through filmfreeway.com. Submissions will be reviewed and selected monthly. There will be two selection windows every year.

SELECTED FILMS
All selected films will get notification through email upon selection. Submissions are reviewed monthly with Winners and Official Selections released for viewing, highlighted, and promoted on the online festival website the following month. Winners in each category will be included in the yearly Festival screening.

Online Screening Duration :
All selected films will remain available as past Winners or Official Selections. If the Filmmaker would like to remove their film’s placement they can request UIFF to do so.
