Md Inteajer E Jahan Uday popularly known as “Uday Bangali” was born on 20 November 1993 in Jamalpur District. While studying mass communication and journalism, he began working as an assistant to filmmaker Redoan Roni. In 2017, Uday's journey as a television dramatist began with the production of the fiction "Backspace". Konkaboti, Boisakhi Hawa, Chaileo Paina are some of his notable fictions. He has told stories of women, children and animal rights in short films like Where love based on hope, Fathomable and Proportional.
Uday's films have been selected at various film festivals around the world, including the Lift-Off Global Film Festival in the UK and the Caribbean Film Festival in the US. In 2019, “Proportional” won “Best Short Film” by UN Women.
Lutfar Rahman George, Dilara Zaman, Armaan Parvez Murad, Sohel Arman, Aparna Ghosh, Irfan Sajjad, Urmila Srabanti Kar, Marzuk Russell, Chashi Alam, Sharmin Akhi, Uzzal Kabir Himu are among the performers in his productions.
