You are formally invited to submit your films and get instant feedback, reviews and a numeric score that shows you how well your film is doing in the festival. Here's how it works:
Our scoring/rating process is not a panel of old guys with preconceived notions of what makes a good film.
The scoring process is what the public thinks is a good film. According to Kody Newton, producer of "No Daddy Daughter Dance" and other films said, “The coolest thing about the TVpbn World Film Festival is that it's juried by the public.”
The majority of film festivals won’t explain how your film is rated—they give your film the laurels and move on, leaving you without valuable feedback. The Television Public Broadcast Network World Film Festival provides a score, reviews, and comments left by viewers. Through this instant feedback you can see where to improve your craft and win more awards—or land coveted acceptance contracts that come with money attached.
This is how the process works:
1. For the entire month of August, the public is invited to login to www.tvpbn.com and watch your film.
2. After they watch your film, each viewer can leave a review and several category ratings on your film.
3. Each viewer will judge your film with a numeric score in 10 separate categories (Directing/Cinematography, Story/Plot/Flow, Acting, Soundtrack, Character Development, Writing, Editing, Special Effects, Entertainment Value, and Ending). Each category is worth 100 points, so a perfect score would be 1000 points.
4. You’ll be able to view the scores in real time from day 1! The category scores, as well as the overall scores, are viewable.
Does your film promote social, political, cultural, or religious change? Or, is it entertaining, artistic or just needs to be seen worldwide? If your answer is "yes" then this festival is for you.
Film is one of the most powerful mediums for changing thought, politics, social, religious and cultural beliefs. Film entertains, educates and motivates. It can be used to polarize hearts for both good and evil. Filmmakers often use it as a means to heal the world while some governments have understood the value of this medium and used it as a propaganda tool.
The Television Public Broadcast Network World Film Festival invites you to bring your films of all genres whether entertainment, political, religious, social, economic and more, to come share your films here and be part of shaping the world.
Our festival is open for the public to attend in person and online inside our password-protected gallery starting August 1 - 31, 2021. Why? The public is your audience who is the final judge. Every attendee is able to post ratings and reviews and those results are public. You, as a filmmaker, can see how your film is doing in real-time as your piers and public watch and enjoy.
