29thANNUAL TWIN RIVERS INTERNATIONAL MEDIA AND FILM FESTIVAL OPENING June 17th, 2023
ThE 29TH Annual season of The Twin Rivers Media Festival (TRMF) will celebrate this year screening the latest and greatest in independent features, documentaries, short and animated films. 20 countries and the US were represented last year in the 60 films selected for screenings The festival highlights world and regional premieres on June 17th at the Flood Fine Arts Center in Black Mountain, NC.

A new Category will be featured this year highlighting Anti-War and Anti War-Tax films.
Tentative Schedule:
Anti-War and Anti War Tax Films• 1-2pm
Animation • 2-3pm
Seven gems of animation styles feature true stories, be they of corruption and greed, love and hope, as well as magical worlds and characters.
Short Drama • 3-5pm
This is truly an international film fest with 18 short films from France, Brazil, Iran, China, Spain, Malaysia, and the US, many of which are premieres!
Documentaries + Discussions
6pm to 7pm
Carlos Steward, founder and director of the Twin Rivers Media Festival, stated, “We are pleased to announce the screenings as the Flood Fine Arts Center with this incredibly diverse program with over 60 independent films from around the world.”
Feature Film + Discussions 7pm to 9pm
“Every year,” continues Steward, “we select several world premieres that will screen in Black Mountain , including the short dramas, ‘TRMF has become the festival of choice for filmmakers and film lovers who are seeking a unique cinema experience and a place to indulge their passion for film. The Festival connects audiences to compelling documentaries, award-winning international releases with tantalizing discussions with visiting filmmakers.
The selection process is rigorous and artist driven. Only a small percentage of the submitted films are chosen to screen in the festival.

Awards will be made to the best films received during the call period. All entries are eligible for laurel awards but waiver entries are not eligible for any cash awards. 20% of the net entry fees will be awarded to the winning film makers.
