The Toronto Film School is proud to present the 2024 Film Festival. This annual festival features the best short films, short documentaries, video games, graphic artist projects and music videos created by Toronto Film School students.

The Film Festival, held at the TIFF Lightbox, screens student projects in a world-class cinema in front of industry professionals and faculty.

The 2024 TFSFF will be held at TIFF Lightbox on May 16, 2024

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR 2024 TFS Film Festival:
Students may submit the following films (make sure to add the *prefix next to the title):

Short Film - *mov
Documentary - *doc
Music Video - *mus
Video Game Trailers - *mov

Submissions Rules:

-All submissions must have been produced while the student was enrolled at TFS.
-All submissions must be submitted online.
-Every submission must include: 2-3 sentence synopsis, credit sheet, running time & format, and an 8X11 poster is suggested.
-All films are not to exceed the above submission time requirements.

TFSFF will only select films for the festival showcase that meet all submission requirements.

Submissions accepted for exhibition may be screened to audiences in full length one or multiple times during the TFSFF. Clips of the film may also be used (up to 60 seconds in length) in order to promote the TFsFF and the organizer, Toronto Film School, prior to, during, and after the TFSFF, to promote the TFSFF and its association to Toronto Film School.

Applicant hereby grants TFSFF the non-exclusive rights to use: part(s) of the film (up to 60 seconds total for all purposes); stills (up to 3 stills) from the film; supplied filmmaker biographical material with the application (name, biography, and photographic likeness) for: TFSFF promotional purposes; publication in the TFSFF program; and TFsFF merchandise. Applicant also agrees to allow TFSFF to supply copies of the film to journalists under non-publication / non-distribution agreement; to show the film at accredited press screenings; and to include the aforementioned promotional clips of the film (up to 60 seconds in length) in pre and post TFSFF advertising and promotional capacities, including publication of TFSFF promotional trailers and media to the internet.

Festival programmers and judges shall determine selections and award winners at their sole discretion.

All non-English language films must have English Subtitles.

Selection Criteria:
PLEASE NOTE: Not all films submitted will get into the Festival program
-All films submitted will go through a selection process by a selection committee.
-Final award selection will be adjudicated by a panel of judges from the selection committee and industry professionals.)
