Tomás Roldán is an Argentine film director based in Córdoba City. As a kid, he was raised in his home country until the age of seven, that's when his family decided to move to New York due to the ongoing economic crisis in the year 2000. Witnessing a vastly different world outside Argentina left Tomás with a curiosity and craving to create new things that would fuel his discovery of new emotions. Living in the United States for many years had a huge impact on him, and recognized that learning about other cultures, understanding the human condition, and exploring feelings were elements to be examined through the lens of filmmaking and photography.
Tomás has a Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Production and a Master’s Degree in Film & Television from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. El Verano Que Te Vimos is his first feature film, released in 2021. A drama about a reunited group of friends, the film received several accolades: 2021 Official Selection for the 13th San Francisco Latino Film Festival and 2021 Winner for Best Production Design for the 18° Festival Latinoamericano de Cine con Vecinos in Argentina.
Turning two of his favorite pastimes, gaming and traveling, into a career, Tomás currently works as a video producer for Enthusiast Gaming, a digital media company specializing in video game content. Shooting most of his work in Argentina, he continues to travel for work and inspiration, gaining new perspectives along the way.
