Thomas Ernst, one of the most famous Danish teenage stars. Came into showbiz at the age of 6, appearing in a string of famous classic theater plays. By 11 years-old he attended an open audition for the Performance School ''Legoland Show Academy'' where he became one of the youngest apprentices ever attending the Academy. Ernst appeared in a variety of famous TV-Shows as a child.
At the age of 15, Ernst got cast as the lead character in Nils Malmros' movie ''Aching Hearts''. Shooting was planned over a period of three years so the young actors would be aging believably during the film. Thomas Ernst say that this also gave him a better approach to the character, because he could bring his own experiences during that time to the film. For his career-starting role, Ernst earned a ROBERT Award nomination for best leading actor and a Golden Goblet nomination at Shanghai International Film Festival. He later became a member of the European Film Academy. While these diverse roles helped establish Thomas' reputation as an actor, it wasn't until his role as Niels Fiil in Anne-Grethe Bjarup Riis ''This Life'' (2012) that Thomas became a household name, a true movie star. The movie went on to beat all box office records held and became the highest grossing movie of that year, and cemented Thomas Ernst' reputation as a true actor. The following year, Ernst starred in another movie, ''Catch The Dream'' (2013) and was a participant in the famous show ''Dancing With The Stars'' (2013) . Ernst kept working for a while, with roles in ''Sorrow And Joy'' (2014), ''Follow The Money II'' (2016) and two seasons of the teenage supernatural drama ''Heartless'' (2014-16) being some of his few notable roles during this period. From there, he took an unconventional route to Hollywood, which led to his working in both studio and independent films hereby ''Thumb Runner'' (2020), ''A Wedding And A Murder II'' (2019). Thomas Ernst is based in Los Angeles, California. Ernst is also a passionate director & producer and received an EKKO SHORTLIST AWARD for the movie ''Simon G.H'' (2018).
