Lights, Camera, Spoof! Enter the ultimate indie comedy challenge - The DAFTAS. This unconventional festival celebrates the most hilarious ultra low-budget spoofs of BAFTA-nominated films.
In response to popular demand and with the understanding that comedy is an extremely hard genre to thrive in, we are opening our submissions for other spoofs / parodies shot throughout the year.
Every year, award-winning comedians, writers, directors and production companies take on the challenge of creating the best and the most hilarious spoof. Judged by celebrated filmmakers, film critics, casting directors, the film challenge is a great platform to get noticed and gain more experience.
Showcase your creativity and comedy chops by producing a 6-minute parody to be
screened at the awards ceremony in London and attended by the representatives of press, casting directors, casting agents and VIP's. Run by filmmakers, for filmmakers since 2019. The DAFTAS give you the freedom to hilariously lampoon prestigious cinema with quick turnarounds and micro-budgets.
In other perks, The DAFTAS gets regular coverage in niche publications - British Comedy Guide, The Comedy Crowd - and nationwide.
