TaxiFilmFest - Fiction and truth, taxi legends and reality, we aim to give insight into a usually unknown world.

This year's Taxifilmfest motto is "Taxikultur" . We are working people. We are creators.

Taxis and movies are children of technological progress, of dream and reality. That’s why there are taxis in so many films. They are the starting points and turning points of stories. In some films, the taxi takes centre stage.

The TaxiFilmFest shows the human and cultural wealth that our colleagues at the wheel create day after day. All over the world, monopolistic platforms are attacking this culture. Those involved in the TaxiFilmFest are fighting back against material and artistic impoverishment.

Our focus is the work of taxi drivers,it's evolution and the cultural impact of taxi tranportation. We are also interested in changes in technology and legislation, the evolution of local taxi business under pressure by global monopolies, resistance and alignment at national and regional levels.

The Taxi Film Festival is more than just a film event. Its contributions and workshops open up a view of the world in which we want to live, in which everyone can make a good living from their work. We strengthen the taxi as a place of encounter and culture.

Unfortunately the festival did not download the film files in time which meant a few films, including mine, didn’t end up being screened on the day. Two of my friends actually went to see them and were disappointed as well, especially cause apparently they were the only two people there as well. However they did say that the organisers were super lovely and had a nice chat with them. I got an email a few days later telling me that they organised a second screening for all the films that they’ve missed. Unfortunately i got that email one day prior which means neither me nor anyone else could attend on such short notice. Such a shame since everyone seemed to be really nice but the organisation wasn’t the best.
