Swami Vivekananda International Film Festival 2026

The Swami Vivekananda International Film Festival & Awards (SVIFF) is India’s pioneering global film platform that blends cinema with vision, values, and social change. After a highly successful first edition in 2025 – screening over 50 films across 8 venues in West Bengal, with 38 awards presented – SVIFF returns in 2026 with an expanded vision. This year, apart from the main festival, 3 Post-Festival Venues will also host selected screenings, ensuring that the best films reach even wider audiences.

SVIFF is not just a festival, but a movement. Rooted in the spirit of Swami Vivekananda, it celebrates cinema as a force for empathy, awareness, and transformation. From schools and colleges to international filmmakers, the festival brings together students, professionals, educators, and dreamers in meaningful dialogue through film.

Every submission is evaluated by a distinguished jury, ensuring a powerful and diverse lineup. We welcome films of all years of production across the following categories:

The Main Festival of SVIFF is a three-day cinematic celebration, hosted across multiple auditoriums, colleges, and university campuses ( In kolkata and others District of West Bengal , India )

Post-Festival Screenings (2 Days | 3 Venues)
After the conclusion of the Main Festival, SVIFF extends its journey through Post-Festival Screenings, ensuring that meaningful cinema reaches a wider and more diverse audience. Over two days, selected award-winning and specially curated films are screened at three additional venues.

All participants will receive participation certificate.

1. SVIFF is a film festival competition open to all Organizations / Agency’s / Independent / Producer / Director / Students.
2. All entries must reach the before due date or submit via online.
3. Clearly Mention The Category And Section Of Entry – International / National – Feature Films / Short Films / Documentary’s etc.
4. No enquiry arguments will be entertained regarding non selected film. The Decision of selection committee will be final.
5. SVIFF Festival has right to use the entries films for the Films And Festival promotion.
6. Films / Documentary’s that are submitted must be entrants original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights, entrants agree that they have obtained all necessary copyrights permission regarding music, sound, and images etc. SVIFF will not be held liable for any copyright violation by you or your film.
7. The code of conduct will have to be strictly followed by the entrants misbehavior may lead to disqualification and legal action.
8. Films / Documentary’s once entered in film festival will not be allowed to be withdrawn. Participation in the SVIFF implies acceptance of all of these rules, No Refund Policy.
9. The Decisions of the Jury’s will be final and accepted by all.
10. All the Participants and Awardees are requested to maintain the festival heritage, Credentials, code of conduct and good will.

11. Films with explicit sexual or adult content are not accepted at SVIFF.**
