The Shaw University Film Festival (SUFFest) is the ultimate gathering of original storytellers and audiences searching for new voices and unique perspectives in the North Carolina area and beyond.
Our festival will feature documentaries, feature films and short films from creatives all over. The SUFFest will host filmmaker community conversations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. By promoting and appreciating the talent from HBCUs and beyond, with your support, we can help usher new talent into the creative pool of the art of film.
Our festival features an alumni spotlight block for Shaw University alumni filmmakers to reconnect our current students with our ambitious alumni content creatives, our traditional end of the year screening for Shaw University student filmmakers, and the HBCU FILM COMPETITION, where NC's HBCU filmmakers best, compete for the crown with their programs best film.
