Steve is a Chicago native, a graduate of USC Film School, a member of the Writers Guild of America, and a working filmmaker living in Los Angeles. His latest script "Harry's All-Night Hamburgers" was adapted from a Hugo award winning short story and recently sold to Warner Bros in a bidding war, with Oscar Nominated Producer Andrew Lazar ("American Sniper") producing via his Mad Chance Productions banner. His previous screenplay "Orb" was voted for inclusion on the 2016 Blacklist, honoring the best screenplays of the year that have not yet gone into production, and was voted # 1 on the 2016 Blood List, honoring the best genre screenplays of the year.
His most recent short film "Monsters" that he directed has screened in over 100 film festivals worldwide, winning 42 awards including Best Short Film at the Comic-Con International Film Festival. Monsters also serves as a proof of concept for Steve's feature screenplay "Twisted Avenue", which he is attached to direct.
Currently, Steve is co-writing a horror screenplay for FilmNation based on Paul Tremblay's novel "The Cabin at the End of the World" and adapting the Image Comics series "Planetoid" into a television series called "No Man's Land" for Global Road Television. Over the years, he has also worked on film and television projects with Gran Via Productions, Davis Entertainment, and Imagine Entertainment, among others.
