Sophia Longoria currently resides in Galveston, Texas, where she pursues her art and engages with the local community. She is a multifaceted artist with a background in 3D digital special effects and animation. Sophia works across the mediums of painting, textile art, sculpture, digital art, and film. Inspired by her triumph over a debilitating mental illness, Sophia's art chronicles her journey to understanding and healing. Through her creations, she aims to connect with others facing similar challenges, offering hope and the reassurance that no one is alone. Her work also seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness. She has participated in group exhibits at the MAC in Dallas and the Lawndale Art Center in Houston, as well as a solo exhibit at The Proletariat Gallery in Galveston.
