My name is Sofiya Boyko, I’m a director from Kyiv. My films tell profound, sometimes biographical stories that intertwine the personal and the historical. I have created three short films: FRAME BY FRAME, BARVINSKY, and VOLYA. For me, it is important to show what often remains outside the frame — the things that cannot be expressed in words, but can be felt. Through my films, I aim to portray the realities of my own life and the lives of those who, for various reasons, have been forgotten.
