La Siliàn is a production company that selects socially significant themes to pair with innovative story structures. Was established in 2008 by Sibilla and Simona Barbieri. La Siliàn produces short films, documentaries, feature films, and commercials. In 2008, the short film “A Chi è Morto, a Chi Sta per Morire” (To The Dead, To The Dying) wins the Torino Film Festival and is finalist at the David di Donatello Awards and at the Nastri d’Argento Awards.
In 2011, the short film “Orizzonti” (Escape Line) earns the qualification of Project of National Cultural Interest from the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBac)
In 2011, the screenplay of “Passavanti” (A Step Forward) earns the qualification of Project of National Cultural Interest and the financing for its development. In 2013, La Siliàn produces the feature film “Carta Bianca” (Blank Paper) directed by Andrés Arce Maldonado, which was awarded the Distribution Prize at Riff (Rome Independent Film Festival). In 2016 La Siliàn produces the feature film “Dentro” (Inside) that wins The Monkey Bread Film Awards 2017
