Shorts Wrap is a film festival and platform that supports short film creators. We write film reviews and organize mentoring programs and masterclasses at various film festivals. Our next in-person meeting will take place at a festival in Košice, from December 11 to 13, 2026, at the iconic Kino Úsmev in Košice, Slovakia.

Shorts Wrap collaborates with more than 10 film directors, screenwriters, and producers. Their works have premiered in the Main Competition for Short Films or in the La Cinef section (student short films) at the Cannes Film Festival.

We have written more than 100 reviews, many of which are available on our website. We have organized masterclasses at the Prague Film Festival 2025 and 2026 and the Košice International Film Festival 2025.

The Singing Fountain in Košice is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. It is located in the heart of the historic center, between the St. Elisabeth Cathedral and the State Theatre Košice, naturally connecting architecture, art, and public space. The fountain is known for its “singing” — its water jets are synchronized with music and lighting effects, creating a unique audiovisual experience. As a tribute to this landmark, the festival’s main prize is called the Golden Fountain Award, which also includes a financial reward of €1,000.

You can find us on social media as @shorts_wrap, where we regularly share important updates from the world of short films, including key deadlines for festivals qualifying for the Oscars, BAFTA, and EFA. Each month, Shorts Wrap highlights one Film of the Month, which is promoted on its social media platforms. During the Academy Awards and BAFTA Awards awards season, we also publish predictions in the short film categories.

Our main partners include the Edinburgh Short Film Festival, HollyShorts Comedy, Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Košice International Film Festival, and Prague Film Festival.

Films from the curated Shorts Wrap selection were screened and featured in the Short Film Corner catalogue, in collaboration with Cinéma De Demain, held during the Cannes Film Festival. We also took part in the Breakfast Meetings, where we presented the Shorts Wrap platform. Representatives of several different organizations participated in our presentation block, including Berlinale Generation and La Biennale - Venice IFF, among many others.

The festival collaborates with the Short Film Corner, where our distribution titles will also be presented. One of them is the film Psychonauts, which received a Special Mention at the 65th edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, as well as the film Ianna, which was screened at festivals in Vancouver and at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma.

TEAM
Shorts Wrap was founded by Erik Jasaň, whose film qualified for the Oscar in the Best Live Action Short Film category and was screened at festivals such as Balinale, Tirana International Film Festival, and HollyShorts Film Festival. He has served as a pre-selector at the Norwich Film Festival, Hawai‘i International Film Festival, and IndyShorts International Film Festival. The festival’s international ambassador is Patrik Krivánek, a member of BAFTA.

Shorts Wrap is also part of the Košice International Film Festival, where selected films are presented in a special screening section dedicated to works distinguished by experimental style and hybrid approaches to film language.

The festival will take place at the iconic Kino Úsmev, the only continuously operating traditional cinema in the center of Košice, located at Kasárenské Square in the Old Town district.
