I am a Dublin-based Artistic Director, playwright and creative producer whose work centres on amplifying women’s voices and interrogating their place within contemporary society. With experience spanning Ireland’s national theatre and grassroots community-led initiatives, I bring a dynamic and socially engaged approach to my practice combining artistic vision with a strong commitment to access, collaboration and representation.
As the founder and Artistic Director of WTF – Women’s Theatre Festival, I established North County Dublin’s first festival dedicated to women in theatre. Under my leadership, the festival has become a vital platform for both emerging and established artists offering a diverse programme of workshops, panel discussions and performances. My work in this space reflects a deep investment in nurturing talent and creating opportunities for women to develop their creative voices in a supportive and inclusive environment. I also directed and dramaturged new work including the debut production of Ladies’ Do at the Millbank Theatre in Rush, Co. Dublin.
My writing is driven by a desire to explore complex often underrepresented aspects of women’s lived experience. My play Heart of Glass examines financial precarity and resilience while We Consent: Consent Chronicles, performed at IMMA Culture Night draws directly from women’s testimonies to confront issues of harassment, consent and survival. My work in film includes Somebody a short introspective look at intergenerational challenges faced by young women in Ireland for which I contributed as a writer and costume designer. The film is currently available on Amazon Prime.
My involvement in Robbers emerges from this ongoing engagement with themes of gender, power and emotional labour. The project offered an opportunity to translate my theatrical sensibilities into a screen context examining the subtle everyday dynamics through which women navigate visibility, vulnerability and expectation. I am particularly interested in how seemingly ordinary encounters can reveal deeper structures of entitlement and isolation and my work on Robbers reflects a commitment to telling stories that are both intimate and socially resonant.
I have trained with organisations such as Fishamble, The Lir Academy, WTF- Writing course 2025, WriteNow and Bow Street Academy continually developing my craft across both stage and screen.
