Shankar Regar is an Indian Film Director and Editor, active in Mumbai’s entertainment industry. With experience in over 65 music videos, short films, and feature films in Hindi, Punjabi, and Nepali, he has built a versatile career marked by cinematic storytelling and technical excellence.

Shankar began as a choreographer, training many film celebrities in dance and stage performance. This background in rhythm and movement shaped his eye for editing and visual rhythm, eventually leading him into film direction and post-production.

2 Little Indians (2013) — Edited by Shankar Regar, a children’s film produced by Rave Moviz and directed by Ravi Bhatia.

Force (2011, Making Edit) — Hindi action film produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, directed by Nishikant Kamat, starring John Abraham and Genelia D’Souza.

The Dark Side of Life: Mumbai City (2018, Visual Promotions Editor) — Drama film written and directed by Tariq Khan, produced by Lakshya Productions. Cast includes Mahesh Bhatt, Kay Kay Menon, Neha Khan, Alisha Khan, Avii Pardasni, Deepraj Rana, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, and Jyoti Malshe. Released on 23 November 2018.

I Am 24 (2012, Making Editor) — Produced by Planman Motion Pictures, directed by Saurabh Shukla, starring Rajat Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, and Neha Dhupia. Released 31 August 2012.

As a Director, he has helmed music videos like Ae Pal and Mera Yaar Tu, and continues to explore innovative visual storytelling in both music and film.

Currently, Shankar is working on upcoming projects including, Better Half, Lakhmipur Ke Lukkhe, and Saksham.
