Shaun Davis is an American filmmaker and musician. He performs music under the stage name SuccaproofSEW. Known for his independent series of short films including Death Around the Corner (2018) and Mob Mentality (2020). His work is revered by critics and scholars who believe his films feature more honest, positive and complementary portrayals of African Americans. In the mid 2010s, Davis's films, much inspired by his African American background and upbringing in Los Angeles, centered on concepts of family, urban crime, stoicism and Christian concepts of hope and redemption. His trademark styles of sharp humorous dialogue, retrospective camera angels, graphic violence and liberal use of profanity was first shown in Nothing to Lose (2015).

Rooted in West Coast hip-hop, Davis's music is characterized by relatable, introspective and often conscious song lyrics mixed with stylistic rap instrumentals often inspired by songs of various genres. Davis released a debut independent album, The Succa Free Club (2025), available on all music streaming service platforms.
