Gory Patiño is an actor, screenwriter and director, studied an MFA in Film and TV Production at Chapman University.
He directed and co-wrote MURALLA, feature film that represented Bolivia at the 2018 Oscar Awards and participated in several festivals such as Havana, Guadalajara, Vancouver and Gramado. With MURALLA, Patiño received the ARGENTORES (Argentina’s Writers Guild) Award for Best Screenplay at the Cine de Las Alturas Film Festival. MURALLA was acquired by HBO.
Patiño also directed and co-wrote LA ENTREGA, a 10-episode TV series aired on Amazon Prime and Globo Play Brasil.
His second feature film PSEUDO, sold to HBO MAX, was released theatrically in September 2022 and participated at the Gramado, Havana and San Francisco film festival.
His third film MANO PROPIA (OWN HAND) participated at the work in progress section of the 2024 Guadalajara Film Festival, Guadalajara Construye and represents Bolivia at the 2025 Academy Awards
