Robert Asher fell in love with the cinema at the age of 17. Ever since, he has followed the advice of two different directors: John Waters's behest to get more out of life by seeing a f*cked up movie, and Martin Scorsese's instruction to study the old masters, enrich his palette, and expand the canvas. He has been published in The Statement and Knighted. This fall, he will begin a master's degree in Cinema Studies at New York University.
