After 2 successful seasons of NAGAON INTERNATIONAL SHORT & DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL, we are happy to announce our another festival, the 1st RIVER MEETS MOUNTAIN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (RMMIFF) which will be held in Green Nest Resort, a newly developed beautiful hill site surrounded by hills and river in West Karbi Anglong of Assam from 1st October to 7th October, 2022. This festival is an exceptional venture in India organized by CINEMALAY. This festival is going to break down the stereotype film festival concept entirely.

RMMIFF is an organic kind of film festival as entire festival will be held in the middle of beautiful hilly river named the Karbi Langpi. Our screening will be done in the middle of the river. Viewers will experience the cinema with nature.

The festival showcases short and documentary films from around the globe. RMMIFF will try to create an environment for the audience and filmmaker to experience cinema with nature. Alongside, festival will organize talk, master classes, and Panel discussion with leading experts. It will help film buffs, local filmmakers, students to interact with the industry expert. RMMIFF will also provide hands on learning experiences in workshop.

Rules & Terms

• The Director/Producer or any member of the selected film must present the film during the screening. Otherwise film will be disqualified.
• The short film must have been completed after 1 January 2019.
• Entries MUST be PAL format only.
• Entries can be submitted ONLINE and OFFLINE
• The Festival does not have particular theme, filmmaker can submit film on any genre he/she want.
• Total running time of film must be less than 30 minutes in length, including credits. The film can be in any language or any genre. All non-English films must have English sub-titles for festival presentation.
• Multiple entries can be submitted, but with separate entry forms.
• RMFIFF organization has right to use the Nominated films and materials from the film for festival promotional purposes and to retain each film as part of our festival library.
• Films once selected & submitted for final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until festival is over

    The overall standard of the festival was very good. Some films were really excellent with high standard in all aspect . Only the best films got the awards, so many congratulation to the winners .
    But in other side , the hospitality mainly, the accommodation which they provided to filmmakers, specially those who came from abroad by spending a huge money was extremely poor and it was full of mosquitoes . By the by ; there was an announcement of 'Cash Prize ' award to the 'Best winners' in the festival website too , but in the award ceremony ,it was not seen at all and no winners knew nothing about it .
