Reno Tahoe Film Festival and Fellowship was established to find the next emerging filmmakers and screenwriters that take cinema to the new era.

Screenwriting Fellowship:
We celebrate undiscovered and unproduced screenwriters and help break them in the industry.

Reno Tahoe contests have produced over 20 screenwriters over the last 5 years! This includes 3 fellowship winning writers who got their feature screenplays produced by winning our contest!

Nidstang by Jared Lamp, Final Girl: Halloween by Zack Jansen, and Dial it Back by Erin Keefer are now released worldwide!

In addition, we have produced 11 short films and 7 proof of concept films for our winning writers or finalists.

No other contest has the track record we have!

Watch our previous winners' films on our website!

Selected fellow(s) receive a 12-month mentorship program aimed to take them to production.  Plus monthly winners will receive prizes to further their career.

You could be our next produced screenwriter!

Film Festival:
The Reno Tahoe Film Festival (RTFF) was established to help emerging filmmakers to get discovered and get their work screened by millions of people worldwide.

RTFF celebrates independent short and feature films (including documentaries and animation) as well as TV and alternative media from all genres.

The goal of RTFF is to support and acknowledge the power of indie filmmakers by distributing the winners' films worldwide and offering winning filmmakers exposure to industry professionals and audiences worldwide.

RTFF acknowledges the hurdles short filmmakers face and is dedicated in distributing short films among the main screening services.

At the end of the season, selected films will be screened online and winners will receive a cash prize and a distribution deal.

Screenwriting Fellowship:
Grand prize winner will receive 12-month mentorship with industry professionals bridging the gap between script and screen with dedicated script development and career strategy ultimately leading to production.

In addition, we will choose 3 monthly winners who will receive 1-month subscription to Scriptmatix writer's program

Film Festival:
Winners will get a cash prize and a distribution deal for their films.
