O Rebentos não é um simples ciclo de cinema emergente, mas um catalisador para a literacia cinematográfica e um incentivo ao novo cinema na “Linha de Sintra”.

Rebentos é a 6ª edição do Ciclo de Cinema Emergente organizado pela Claraboia - Associação Cultural, que decorre na “Linha de Sintra, zona urbana densamente populada da periferia de Lisboa, com grande riqueza e diversidade cultural e escassez de programação e hábitos de consumo cultural.

Através de um formato que cruza a exibição e a criação de cinema emergente, com sessões, oficinas, conversas e atividades de mediação cultural, o Rebentos estimula o envolvimento da comunidade local, aproximando-a ao cinema e incentivando a reflexão, partilha e pensamento crítico.

Seguindo este formato participativo, são programadas 10 sessões com conversas, 4 oficinas e 2 encontros ao longo de 8 meses, com um total de 55 filmes e a participação de mais de 40 convidados.

Rebentos is the 6th edition of a Film Festival organized by Claraboia – Associação Cultural, taking place in the “Linha de Sintra,” a densely populated urban area on the outskirts of Lisbon, with great cultural richness and diversity, but limited programming and cultural consumption habits.

Through a format that combines the exhibition and creation of new cinema - featuring screenings, workshops, talks, and cultural mediation activities. Rebentos encourages the involvement of the local community, bringing it closer to cinema and fostering reflection, sharing, and critical thinking.

Following this participatory format, the program includes 10 screening sessions with talks, 4 workshops, and 2 meetings over 8 months, with a total of 55 films and the participation of more than 40 guests.

OPEN CALL

Artigo 1 - Objeto e âmbito
1 - O Open Call para o festival dos Rebentos é dirigido a todos os interessados em participar na 6ª edição deste ciclo de cinema a realizar entre julho 2026 e fevereiro de 2027.
2 - Existem duas categorias para inscrição – Produção Portuguesa; Produção Internacional.
3 - As alíneas constantes no presente regulamento têm como objetivo a definição das normas de participação dirigidas por parte da Claraboia - Associação Cultural.

Artigo 2 - Objetivos do Presente Regulamento
1 - Promover a criação artística cinematográfica entre jovens realizadores.
2 - Dinamizar uma relação de proximidade entre a Claraboia, os Rebentos e criadores nacionais e internacionais, oferecendo a estes, condições financeiras e um espaço para a apresentação do seu trabalho artístico.

Artigo 3.º - Proposta
1 - Propõe-se a cada participante que submeta o seu filme através da plataforma online https://filmfreeway.com/rebentos devidamente preenchido com informação requerida no Artigo 5º.

Artigo 4 - Critérios de Elegibilidade
1 - Só são aceites projetos originais.
2 - Aceitamos qualquer candidatura dentro do prazo estabelecido.
3 - Os concorrentes podem participar apenas com um projeto. No caso das distribuidoras, é permitida a submissão de dois projetos.
4 - A inscrição é gratuita para artistas nacionais.
Early Bird: A inscrição para artistas estrangeiros é gratuita até 10 de fevereiro de 2026.
Regular Deadline: A inscrição para artistas estrangeiros tem o custo de 4€ a partir de 11 de Fevereiro de 2026.
5 - Podem-se candidatar artistas amadores ou profissionais com idade superior a 16 anos e inferior a 35 anos completos até ao dia da inscrição.
6 - As candidaturas elegíveis serão selecionadas por um júri interno.
7 - Critérios de participação na programação artística:
-Curtas-metragens nacionais e internacionais ler Artigo 13º

Artigo 5 - Submissão das Candidaturas
1 - O processo de candidatura ocorre entre 9 de janeiro de 2026 e 6 de março de 2026.
2 - A candidatura só é considerada válida caso contenha os seguintes elementos:
- Cópia de visualização do filme, Fotografia do(s) realizador(es), biografia do(s) realizador(es), cartaz em formato PNG, sinopse, link para visualização da curta-metragem, trailer;
3 - A candidatura deve ser efetuada através da plataforma online: https://filmfreeway.com/rebentos

Artigo 6 - Seleção e coordenadores
1 - O número de candidaturas elegíveis em cada categoria é limitado, logo todas as candidaturas serão submetidas à apreciação do júri interno.

2 - O processo de seleção ocorrerá entre 20 de março e 30 de abril 2026.
3 - No processo de seleção será solicitado o preenchimento de uma declaração de cedência de direitos de imagem. Caso esta declaração não seja preenchida e entregue no tempo comunicado aquando do seu requerimento, a obra irá ser desqualificada.

Artigo 7 - Comunicação dos Resultados
1 - Os resultados serão anunciados aos participantes entre 30 de abril e 14 de maio 2026.
2 - Todos os realizadores cuja organização pretenda convidar para apresentar presencialmente as suas obras serão notificados e consultados com os horários da programação, por correio eletrónico.

Artigo 8 - Apoio e remuneração do projeto
1 - Aos convidados a participar presencialmente nas sessões do ciclo será efetuado um pagamento no valor de 75€, pela sua participação na sessão. Este valor será transferido nas duas semanas seguintes à sessão.
2 - Para a remuneração, os artistas necessitarão de emitir um recibo pela prestação de serviço.
3 - Em casos excepcionais, a organização poderá auxiliar nas deslocações e estadia dos realizadores.

Artigo 9 - Datas
1 - As candidaturas estarão abertas de 9 de janeiro de 2026 e 6 de março de 2026.
2 - Notificação da lista dos candidatos elegidos, consultas e confirmação da candidatura até 30 de abril de 2026.
3 - As sessões irão decorrer entre julho de 2026 e fevereiro 2027.

Artigo 11 - Termo de responsabilidade e autorização de imagem
1 - Todos os participantes terão de assinar a declaração de autorização de exibição.
2 - A participação neste Open Call comporta em si a autorização para a organização utilizar todo o material cedido, solicitado na alínea 4 do artigo 6º para uso exclusivo de divulgação e promoção do evento.
3 - A participação neste Open Call pressupõe a aceitação de todos os termos nele contidos.

Artigo 13 - Critérios de Seleção
1 - Aceitamos qualquer material audiovisual que possa ser projetado numa tela através de um projetor digital.
2 - Os realizadores devem ter entre 16 a 35 anos de idade.
3 - Os realizadores devem estar em início de carreira e ser, por isso, autores emergentes. Cabe ao painel de programação decidir se um realizador se enquadra neste perfil.
4 - As obras devem ser de autoria própria.
5 - As curtas-metragens devem ter duração máxima de 25 minutos.
6 - Cada realizador(a)(x) só poderá inscrever uma curta-metragem. A submissão de mais de uma curta-metragem exclui o candidato do concurso.
7 - Cada distribuidor(a)(x) só poderá inscrever duas curta-metragens a concurso. A submissão de mais de duas curtas-metragens exclui o candidato do concurso.
8 - Serão aceites obras realizadas por mais de uma pessoa.
9 - Não serão aceites obras que possam resultar em conflitos de interesse, quer por envolvimento de pessoas pertencentes ao júri, ou membros do projeto Claraboia.
10 - Na seleção das obras serão consideradas as seguintes características:
-Promover uma programação variada, incluindo diferentes abordagens e temas.
-Valorizar sempre mais as curtas-metragens de realizadores emergentes cujas temáticas sejam de grande importância para o nosso contexto humano atual, ou/e demonstrem o domínio das diferentes técnicas utilizadas.
Critério de impacto local: Quando em competição direta, serão sempre valorizadas mais as obras portuguesas e/ou obras cujos realizadores residam no Concelho de Sintra.
11 - A organização não se compromete a justificar todas as suas decisões nem a responder a todos os pedidos de esclarecimento de não seleção.

OPEN CALL

Article 1º - Goals and medium
1 - The Open Call is directed to all the concerned participants of the 6th edition of the Rebentos film cycle, to occur between the months of July 2026 and February 2027.
2 - There are two available application categories – Portuguese Production and International Production.
3 - The besetting regulation paragraphs aim to define the terms of participation under the jurisdiction of the Claraboia - Cultural Association.

Article 2º - Current Regulation Objectives
1 - To promote artistic cinematic creation among young filmmakers.
2 - To foster an already established relation between Claraboia, Rebentos and national as well as international creators, providing thus, the financial and structural conditions needed for the works exhibition.

Article 3º - Proposals
1 - We propose to each contestant that they submit their movie through the online platform https://filmfreeway.com/rebentos, duly filled with the mandatory information requested in Article 5.

Article 4º - Criteria and Eligibility
1 - We only accept original productions.
2 - We accept any kind of application within the established deadline.
3 - The contestants are only allowed to participate with one Project. In the case of distributors, up to two projects are permitted.
4 - For national artists, there’s no enrollment fee.
Early Bird: The enrolment for foreign artists is free until the 10th of February 2026.
Regular Deadline: The enrolment for foreign artists has a cost of 4€ from 11 February 2026.
5 - Any amateur or professional filmmaker between the ages of 16 and 35 (until the date of application) can submit their creation.
6 - The elected submissions will be evaluated by an internal jury board.
7 - Application criteria:
a) National and international short-films – Article 13º

Article 5º - Application Submissions
1 - The application process occurs between the 9th of January 2026 and 6st March 2026.
2 - It is only considered a valid application if it includes the following items:
- View purpose copy, Photograph(s) of the Director(s), Written biography of the director(s), PNG Poster, Synopsis, Short-Film preview Link, Trailer.
3 - The application must be submitted through the following online platform:

Article 6º - Selection and Jury Board
1 - The number of eligible applications in each category is limited; that being said, every submission will be duly evaluated by the internal jury: Carolina Pinto, Inês Moreira, Nuno Cintra; Vera Barquero; Fábio Silva.
2 - The selection process will occur between the 20th of March and 30th of April 2026.
3 - During the selection process, an Image Rights Transfer will be solicited. If the required declaration isn’t duly filled during the announced time, the Project will be disqualified.

Article 7º - Anoucement
1 - The results will be announced to all contestants between the 30th of April and the 14th of May 2026.
2 - Every director invited by the Headboard to a public presentation of their projects will be duly notified and counselled through email.

Article 8º - Project’s Support and Reward
1 - There is, for all in-person invited guests, a payment of 75€ for their presence at the event. The quantitative amount will be transferred in the following two weeks after the presentation.
2 - The artists will need to present a receipt for the services provided.
3 - In exceptional cases, the organisation may help with transportation and stay.

Article 9º - Dates – Rebentos
1 - The applications will be available from the 9th of January 2026 to the 6th of March 2026.
2 - The elected candidates will be notified and confirmed by the 30th of April 2026.
3 - The sessions will occur between the months of July 2026 and February 2026.

Article 10º - Premises

Article 11º - Terms of Responsibility and Image Rights
1 - Every contestant must sign a declaration of permission and exhibition.
2 - The participants of this Open Call are hereby granted the permission of the internal usage of all the lent material in line 4 of Article 6º.
3 - The participants of this Open Call hereby accept all the terms and conditions of the application.

Article 13º - Selection Criteria
1 - We accept any kind of audiovisual material as long as it can be projected onto a single screen.
2 - The Director must be between 16 and 35 years old.
3 - The directors must be in the beginning stages of their careers. It is up to the programming committee to decide whether this is true.
4 - All films must be an original creation.
5 - The film must not exceed 25 minutes in length.
6 - Each contestant director can only submit one film. The submission of two or more creations will eliminate the contestant.
7 - Each contestant distributor can only submit two films. The submission of three or more creations will eliminate the contestant.
8 - Co-creations are allowed.
9 - Films that may create conflicts of interest, do to the involvement of people in the jury or members of Claraboia project, will not be accepted.
10 - While selecting the films, the following will be considered:
- Promoting a varied program that includes different approaches and themes.
- Preferring short films directed by up-and-coming directors whose themes are of importance in our current human context, and/or demonstrate the control of the different techniques used.
- Local criteria: When in direct competition, films from the Sintra Municipality will be valued as more important to the programme.
11 - The organisation under no oath compromises herself to answer for the effective selection and/or all the clarification questions that may arise.
