Qiydaar Foster is a queer & Afro-Latino filmmaker based in Los Angeles.
Starting as a graphic designer and photographer in New York City, Qiydaar has always had a creative eye but felt like he had more to say beyond those two disciplines. A cinephile since childhood, he eventually found his way to his true calling. Qiydaar took some time to write, produce, and shoot some experimental shorts which gave him the tools and foundation he needed to step into the world of features and documentaries.
Partnering with PFLAG for the “Taking The Long Road Home” documentary afforded him the chance to explore a subject of great personal interest and allowed him the opportunity to work with such an important national organization like PFLAG.
Recently, Qiydaar has written his first feature film “These Scars Are Mine”, a queer sci-fi film about veterans.
Qiydaar is currently writing his first horror film.
