Punkrobot is the award winning studio behind the short film "Bear Story", winning an Oscar in 2016 for Best Animated Short. A creative animation from Chile, Punkrobot is focused on making appealing animation and storytelling with a dedicated interest in young audiences.
Punkrobot has been creating content since 2008, including over a thousand minutes of international top-quality animation. Thanks to a multidisciplinary team, Punkrobot has produced projects for television, advertising and film with a high visual impact; they are
well-known for their preschool shows Flipos (2010), Guitar and Drum (2018) and most recently Wow Lisa (2025).
Other Punkrobot productions include, Star Wars: Visions II episode In the Stars (2023), and their Oscar award winning animated short film Bear Story (2016), the first Oscar for animation in Latin America.
Punkrobot studio is based in Santiago, Chile, and was founded by Antonia Herrera, Gabriel Osorio, Mari Soto-Aguilar and Pato Escala.
