The Shamrock Spitfire
The future of Europe hangs by a thread as fierce battles rage in the skies over southern England. Irishman Brendan Finucane, with his dreams of being a flyer, is one of the first to enlist into the Royal Air Force.
Having his baptism of fire in the Battle of Britain, Brendan proves himself to be a natural born fighter pilot. His exploits in the air rapidly gain him fame and promotion through the ranks.
It is not long before he is given command of 452 Australian Squadron. Under Brendan’s leadership they will become the stuff of legend.
THE SHAMROCK SPITFIRE chronicles the epic true story of Brendan “Paddy” Finucane, one of the most celebrated fighter aces of World War II and the youngest Wing Commander in the history of the RAF.

Ian & Dominic both attended Bournville Art College, where there originally intended to dedicate their time to studying Special Effects for film and TV. However, after taking a course in photography, and re-discovering their childhood love of script writing, they began to make short films.
A chance encounter with a BBC set designer led to gaining working experience on a TV set, which provided valuable experience for the two budding filmmakers.
In 2003 with the help of the Princes Trust, they set up their own production company, Pixel Revolution Films. The company’s first film, an experimental animated/live action short, THE WOLF WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, tells the mythical story of the first dog and can be seen, very much as a forerunner for their recent animated/live action short, OF WOLVES AND MEN.
It earned the brothers “best animation” award at The International Digital Video Festival in LA and at Birmingham’s TIC Film Festival. This success led to their first commissioned feature film project, THE 13th DAY.
