Welcome to PRIOSMA, Cork's dedicated Queer Film Festival.

Our third edition of PRIOSMA will take place from Thursday 10th September to Sunday 13th September 2026 in different venues all over the city.

PRIOSMA hosts a selection of feature and short film screenings, talks and industry events, as well as collaborations with local community projects, all focusing on LGBTQ+ representation and promoting inclusivity and diversity in the film community and industry.

Rules & Terms

1. PRIOSMA seeks to highlight Irish and international queer cinema in all its forms while supporting and advancing the LGBTQIA+ filmmaking community in Cork.

2. Held annually, PRIOSMA takes place over one weekend across various venues in Cork City.

3. The festival accepts unsolicited submissions of feature films, documentaries, short films, animations and music videos of any genre or theme via FilmFreeway.

4. Additionally, the festival also selects feature films, documentaries, and short films of any genre or theme through invitations.

5. Films submitted to PRISOMA Film Festival must have been produced within the past three years.

6. Submissions are only accepted via online viewing links.

7. PRIOSMA awards several symbolic, non-monetary prizes at the end of the festival, determined by a jury.

8. All foreign and Irish language films must include English subtitles, while English-language films should provide Closed Captioning for Deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.

9. Films selected for the festival will not be modified in any way for screening purposes.

10. Short excerpts from the film may be used for promotional purposes like festival trailers.

11. Submitting a film signifies acceptance of these outlined regulations.

    I loved attending this film festival, PRISMA - Queer Film Festival Cork is emerging as one of the important film festivals outside Dublin. I love the sense of community and togetherness.

    A wonderful film festival in the heart of Cork City, celebrating queer films from Ireland and internationally. I had such a lovely experience attending this festival for a screening of my short documentary, and was beyond honoured to win the Spirit of the Festival Award. I highly recommend this festival to any queer filmmakers who are looking for a welcoming festival to screen their film. It takes place across multiple venues in the artsy city of Cork.
