RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
PLUM! 2026 opens its call for animated audiovisual works and animated screenplays in the competition categories established in these rules.
1.1 Participation is open to individuals or legal entities, of any nationality, individually or collectively, over 18 years of age, through the submission of animated audiovisual works or animated screenplays that meet the requirements set forth in these regulations.
1.2 Participation in the Festival is subject to the submission fees detailed in section 2.2 of these rules.
1.3 The call is open to:
Animated audiovisual works made using any animation technique, completed after January 1st, 2024.
Completed animated screenplays, which may be original or adapted, and which have not been previously produced or released.
2. APPLICATION DATES AND FEES
2.1 APPLICATION DATES
Applications will be accepted according to the following schedule:
Animated Screenplay Competition (Completed Scripts):
from February 15th, 2026 to September 15th, 2026.
Animated Short Films and Music Videos:
from May 15th, 2026 to October 15th, 2026.
The Festival reserves the right to announce the results of the Animated Screenplay Competition prior to the audiovisual Official Selection.
2.2 SUBMISSION FEES

Fees vary according to submission deadlines and the country of origin of the work.

Single worldwide fee: USD 15
Fees are non-refundable and must be paid exclusively through Festhome and FilmFreeway.
3. COMPETITION CATEGORIES
International Animated Short Film Competition:
Open to animated short films from anywhere in the world, with no thematic or technical restrictions.
Award: Best International Animated Short Film.
Latin American Animated Short Film Competition:
Open to animated short films produced in Latin America.
Award: Best Latin American Animated Short Film.
International Animated Music Video Competition:
Open to animated music videos from all over the world.
Award: Best International Animated Music Video.
Animated Screenplay Competition (Completed Scripts):
Open to completed animation screenplays from all over the world.
Award: Best Animated Screenplay (Completed Script).
4. REGISTRATION, SUBMISSION AND SELECTION
4.1 Entries must be submitted exclusively through Festhome and FilmFreeway.
4.2 All submissions will undergo a pre-selection process carried out by the Festival’s Selection Committee. The committee’s decisions are final.
4.3 By submitting a work, applicants fully accept these rules and declare to be the copyright holders or to have express authorization for public exhibition within the Festival.
If the work includes third-party copyrighted material, the applicant declares to have obtained all necessary permissions and releases, and releases the Festival from any legal responsibility.
4.4 The Festival organization reserves the right to resolve any situation not foreseen in these rules.
5. JURY
5.1 The Jury will be composed of professionals from the field of animation, including directors, producers, journalists, cultural managers and representatives of national and international institutions.
5.2 Jury members may not have any direct relationship with the works in competition.
5.3 Jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
6. OFFICIAL SELECTION
6.1 The Official Selection will be published on the Festival’s website (www.plumanimationfest.com
) and on the official Instagram account @plum.fest. Selected participants will also be notified by email.
6.2 Selected works must authorize the use of trailers or excerpts for promotional purposes.
6.3 Works included in the Official Selection will receive official PLUM! Festival laurels.
6.4 Selected works must comply with the technical specifications, formats and deadlines indicated by the Festival.
6.5 Failure to deliver the final materials on time may result in disqualification.
6.6 Works in languages other than Spanish must include Spanish subtitles, or alternatively English subtitles, provided as a separate file.
6.7 The Festival does not cover travel or accommodation expenses. Letters of support may be issued upon request.
6.8 PLUM! does not pay screening fees. All screenings are free and open to the public.
7. ACCEPTANCE
Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of these rules. Any matter not contemplated herein will be resolved by the Festival organization in a final and unappealable manner.

REGLAMENTO
1. CONDICIONES GENERALES
PLUM! 2026 abre su convocatoria para presentar obras audiovisuales de animación y guiones de animación en las categorías establecidas en estas bases.
1.1 Podrán participar personas físicas o jurídicas, de cualquier nacionalidad, en forma individual o colectiva, mayores de 18 años, mediante el envío de obras de animación o guiones de animación que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos.
1.2 La participación en el Festival está sujeta a los aranceles de inscripción detallados en el punto 2.2.
1.3 La convocatoria está abierta a:
Obras audiovisuales de animación realizadas con cualquier técnica, finalizadas a partir del 1 de enero de 2024.
Guiones de animación completamente terminados, originales o adaptados, que no hayan sido producidos ni estrenados.
2. FECHAS Y ARANCELES DE POSTULACIÓN

del 15 de febrero de 2026 al 15 de septiembre de 2026.
Cortometrajes y Videoclips Animados:
del 15 de mayo de 2026 al 15 de octubre de 2026.
El Festival podrá anunciar los resultados de la Competencia de Guión con anterioridad a la Selección Oficial audiovisual.

3. CATEGORÍAS EN COMPETENCIA

Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional de Animación.
Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados
Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Latinoamericano de Animación.
Competencia Internacional de Videoclips Animados
Premio al Mejor Videoclip Animado Internacional.
Competencia de Guiones de Animación (Guiones Terminados)
Premio al Mejor Guion de Animación (Guion Terminado).
4. INSCRIPCIÓN, ENVÍO Y SELECCIÓN DE OBRAS
4.1 Las obras deberán inscribirse exclusivamente a través de Festhome y FilmFreeway.
4.2 Las postulaciones serán evaluadas por el Comité de Selección del Festival. Sus decisiones son inapelables.
4.3 Al postular una obra, el participante declara ser titular de los derechos o contar con autorización expresa para su exhibición pública.
En caso de uso de material protegido por derechos de terceros, el postulante asume toda responsabilidad legal y exime al Festival.
4.4 La organización se reserva el derecho de resolver cualquier situación no prevista.
5. JURADO
5.1 El jurado estará integrado por profesionales del campo de la animación y la cultura audiovisual.
5.2 No podrán integrar el jurado personas con relación directa con las obras en competencia.
5.3 Las decisiones del jurado son definitivas e inapelables.
6. SELECCIÓN OFICIAL
6.1 La Selección Oficial será publicada en www.plumanimationfest.com
y en @plum.fest.
6.2 Las obras seleccionadas autorizarán el uso de fragmentos para difusión del Festival.
6.3 Las obras seleccionadas recibirán laureles oficiales PLUM!.
6.4 Los seleccionados deberán cumplir con las especificaciones técnicas y plazos establecidos.
6.5 El incumplimiento podrá derivar en la descalificación.
6.6 Las obras en idioma distinto al español deberán contar con subtítulos en español o, en su defecto, en inglés.
6.7 El Festival no cubre gastos de traslado ni alojamiento.
6.8 El Festival no abonará derechos de exhibición. Todas las funciones serán gratuitas.
7. ACEPTACIÓN
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación total de estas bases. Cualquier situación no contemplada será resuelta por la organización de manera inapelable.
