Welcome to The PIIF.

The perfect festival for your networking and finding partners for your next audiovisual production in Europe. Have your project valued alongside big names who have already participated in renowned international film festivals!

So you have a movie. Or even more than one. It's a short or music video, of up to 40 minutes. Probably it's not and won't be your only one. Sure you don't want it to be your last work. But it's a film that you wish will impact those who watch it. You believe that it deserves to be seen and shown to the world. You'll be part of the cinema industry, presenting your art and your way of making a film.

PIIF has a generous atmosphere for filmmaking. It may be here that your work gains deserved visibility. And it will also be here that you may meet the partners for your next production. Many will also know you and interesting possibilities will appear. This is how it has been happening at PIIF. You already know that a successful filmmaker career takes place when your network is in constant growth. PIIF is this environment: real and virtual, where we get to know you and you get known in the film industry.

Every great filmmaker made the first film. Almost always, it was a short film.
And just like the filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, photographers, costume designers, makeup artists, producers, and every player in the film industry went through the sacred moment of making a short film. For many, it was the first step in building a career.

PIIF is structured to give maximum visibility, opportunity, and recognition to cinema professionals through nomination, prominence, presentation, awards in several categories.

This year we will expand our structure for receiving and appreciating films. More judgment systems and new categories will be appreciated.

Filmmaker, it will be a pleasure and a responsibility to receive your film. We know that almost everyone here wants to live with movies, from movies, and for movies. This is our contribution. PIIF is our home. Welcome.

Every quarter year edition our judges will select the winners and honorable mentions from the following categories. Our system of appreciation and awards works so that throughout the 21/22 season we have movement and attention on the films we receive for the competition.

Our Jury will select the best of each Quarterly Festival (4 seasons) and choose the winners who will automatically qualify for the Annual Gala held at Municipal Library of Prague on December 9th/10th, 2022.

Those who received the Quarterly Honorable Mention can also be selected for a Nomination at the Annual Awards.

During the event, participants will enjoy blocks of screenings with Q&A with directors, cast and crew, networking events. Be prepared for walking and photo shooting on the red carpet. Before the award ceremony, all guests will enjoy a champagne cocktail and hors d’oeuvre, making this an incredible opportunity for networking and meeting people with whom you might work in the future.

Winners of the Annual Gala Awards will receive the PIIF Trophy in addition to the laurel and certificate.

PIIF is a fantastic film festival for filmmakers all around the world. If you are looking to watch high-quality films and network with other filmmakers, I can only recommend it. I attended both the screenings and the festival's gala and enjoyed it tremendously. I met many lovely and talented filmmakers and watched many great films. Everyone from the festival was so kind, friendly, and supportive and it was really seen how deeply they care about their festival and how much effort they put into it!

Thank you, Alex and Luma (and everyone else from PIIF), for having us, screening the Great Conjunction, and awarding us the Best Student Director. It was a pleasure and looking forward to see you again! :)
