Adam and Paul, (2004). 24 hours in the life of two heroin addicts as as they traipse around Dublin. This is a dark, dark comedy and bleak as they come. This is a comedy, I swear and it is so Beckett like as well. Directed by Lenny Abrahamson who went on to do big things.

A light hearted film called Hear My Song from 1991. It has an English Director Peter Chelsom (technically it is an English film) but everything else about it and most of the cast are Irish. This is so lighthearted and fun with tons of music to boot.
I had to pick this film to balance the dreariness of the first two picks.
