Pierre de Mûelenaere is a Brussels-based filmmaker. His debut film, Call Sign Valhalla (2023), a fictional story crafted from genuine found footage of the war in Ukraine, won Best Documentary Short at The North Film Festival (Stockholm). His latest work, The Man Within, co-directed with Antoine Veldekens has been selected at festivals including Montevideo Fantastico, Fright Nights, Stuff MX or Ghent Short International.
De Muelenaere also directed Wonderfully Desolate (2023), which earned the Best Cinematographer Award at The Buddha International Film Festival 2024.
His work blends authenticity with imaginative storytelling, offering audiences thought-provoking and visually compelling experiences.
