Peaberry Film Festival believes in these things:

- Every film should screen in-person.
- Every screening should be treated like its own special event.
- If your audience is just other filmmakers, is it really an audience?
- Forget pomp and circumstance, let's party.

With these things in mind, we're open to films of any kind by anybody with the goal of creatively programming films so they not only uplift each other, but also are engaged with by the community.

Here's what ChatGPT has to say:

"The festival is named after the peaberry coffee bean, a rare and prized variety that is said to produce a richer, more flavorful cup of coffee. Just as the peaberry is a unique and special bean, so too are the films that are showcased at this festival."

We show films at the historic Canton Theatre, a gorgeous place that dates back to 1911 when the theatre was a popular scene for silent movies. It's a lovely place to watch your movie in a cute downtown with lots of other fun stuff to do.

Send us your best, we can't wait to see it.

Awards aren't really our thing, but giving out goodie bags to every attending filmmaker is, and we try to spoil you as much as we possibly can.

Digital submissions only. Accepted filmmakers will be asked to provide high quality Quicktime files of their films through Dropbox, Vimeo, or another cloud storage service (preferably Dropbox or Vimeo though).

Submissions must not include licensed or copyrighted material unless proof of permission is given with the submission.

  • Peaberry Film Fest is a gem of a festival nestled in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. We had an absolute blast screening our film here! We met some awesome filmmakers and enjoyed exploring the small downtown between film blocks. There was a great line-up this year and the festival director couldn’t have done a better job running it!

Really enjoyed the festival, it took place in the heart of the city with great restaurants nearby. The festival also hosted a director only luncheon which was great. Overall a worth it person experience. Will be back next year. Thank you for screening Electric pioneers!

This has been my favorite festival I've ever attended. Really cool historic venue with good picture and sound. Had a great turnout and the festival director is very accommodating. I plan on submitting future projects to Peaberry Film Fest!
