Patrick Rooney is an award-winning freelance filmmaker, working under the title of DEAR FRIEND Films. He produces a variety of high quality, professional video and film content: from feature films, short films and documentaries, to promotional videos, showreels and other online content. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Patrick continues to work with a variety of international clients, as well as collaborate with other production companies across the U.K.

His work has been selected for many international film festivals, as well as having been featured on national TV (Live at Five, STV2). He studied Digital Filmmaking at the SAE Institute, Glasgow, gaining a First-Class BA Hons degree. Once graduated, Patrick had a 9-month Internship with the prestigious production company 'Plum Films' in Edinburgh.

Patrick's debut feature-length documentary film, 'In The Red', premiered on YouTube in April 2020. The film has received great praise and is available to watch for free on the YouTube platform. The Director's Cut of 'In The Red' is currently on the film festival circuit, having been selected for 10 international film festivals so far, as well as win the 'Best Documentary Sports Feature' award at the FFTG Awards Film Festival in New York. The film has also gained four other award nominations so far.
