EMMEDIA welcomes submissions of new or recent media art work for our 7th PARTICLE + WAVE Media Arts Festival from March 31st - April 2nd, a 3-day event that will celebrate the critical innovation and creativity present in the media arts community. This festival will showcase an art form that by it’s very nature, is constantly evolving and growing with the integration of ever-changing technological processes.
Along with our screening program, we also accept submissions for media art installations/exhibitions and live performances. For more information on how to submit, go to: http://emmedia.ca/programming/call-for-submissions/
The formal screening portion of the festival will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada as well as an online stream screening. We also screen at other venues, and wherever appropriate during the festival, and dependent on the work selected. We accept very particular short films, videos, and animations that are independent, experimental and/or avant-garde in nature. We are looking for films that are innovative and unique in the way they tell a narrative and/or how the work was created.
