CAHNRS for All Presents: THE ORIGINAL STORYTELLERS Native Film Festival 2023. The festival will take place in association with the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences at WSU. The films will be screened on Zoom and in person.
This film festival is a family friendly festival that creates and explores Native American culture and the challenges that face indigenous populations. We are looking for films that speak truth to power, ruminate on indigenous ways of life, entertain, and inspire.
In the spirit of the festival we encourage Native American film creators who participate in any production aspect of creating films to apply: screenwriters, actors, cinematographers, directors, composers, etc. The call is open to all themes revolving around Native Americans but we encourage films that touch on climate justice and the impact on tribal nations, gathering and food systems, Indigenous ecological knowledge; and land grant history regarding tribes.
