About the Festival

One Fluid Night (OFN) LGBTQIA+ Film Festival was born from a desire to bring independent international filmmakers and creative people together.

What started in London has grown into a home for stories from across the world, a place where voices meet and are truly seen. Our main festival now takes place in London every April, welcoming films and filmmakers into one shared space.

In 2026 we are coming back to Paris, continuing to build the platform in the city of Cinema & Love, stepping into different countries and cities, making these encounters not only through the screen but face to face, where conversations and connections can happen in person.

None of this would be possible without the support of our partners and sponsors, whose belief in our mission helps us create these vital spaces for cinema and community.

Paris 2026 Edition

The eighth edition of OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival will take place in Paris on 23-24 October 2026.

The event will be hosted at Le Brady & Christine Cinema Club, one of the most beloved venues in Paris for cinephiles. Known for its history of independent and queer screenings, it offers the perfect home for our international edition.

The Paris programme will focus on international short films and the OFN Awards. Unlike our London edition, this event will keep the spotlight firmly on cinema itself, creating an intimate atmosphere for filmmakers and audiences.

Bringing the festival to Paris marks our first international step. It is an invitation to meet face to face, exchange ideas, and celebrate LGBTQIA+ stories together on a global stage.

The Paris edition of OFN LGBTQIA+ Film Festival is dedicated exclusively to short films with a running time of 2 to 15 minutes.

Awards will be presented in five categories:

*Best Short Film — Jury Award
*Best Director — Jury Award
*Best Performance — Jury Award
*Best Cinematography — Jury Award
*Best Fluid Story — Audience Award

All awards will be announced and presented during the ceremony on 24 October 2026.

Rules & Terms

Festival Details

OFN Paris accepts short films only, with a running time between 2 and 15 minutes.

Officially selected projects will be screened on 24 October 2026 at Le Brady in Paris.

All selected projects will be eligible for nominations.

Nominees will be announced four weeks before the festival’s opening and published via OFN’s official website and social media.

Each category winner will receive an OFN digital certificate with official verification and a digital copy of the OFN laurel.

The Best Fluid Story — Audience Award will be voted for by the audience at the Paris screening.

Jury awards (Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Performance, Best Cinematography) will be decided by the OFN jury panel.

If a winner is absent during the award ceremony, OFN will send their certificate via email.

Submission Rules

You may submit more than one film, but each entry must be submitted separately.

All entries must be submitted online via FilmFreeway.

Films must include LGBTQIA+ themes or characters. Any genre is accepted.

Films will be judged on:
• Creativity of visual images
• Production quality (regardless of budget)
• Originality of storytelling
• Emotional impact

Official selections will be notified by email and published on OFN’s channels.

Technical Requirements

Films must be submitted in standard cinema aspect ratio and resolution:
• Flat: 1.85:1 → 2K (1998×1080) or 4K (3996×2160)
• Scope: 2.39:1 → 2K (2048×858) or 4K (4096×1716)

H.264 (MP4) or QuickTime (ProRes 422) formats are accepted.

The filmmaker/producer must grant OFN the right to reformat files if needed for screening purposes.

Lex and the team provide such an amazing experience which is glossy, well-thought-out and focuses so beautifully on the filmmakers and their projects. We were thrilled to be a part of the Christmas '23 edition of OFN. Not only was the screening a real treat, but the following entertainment and the resulting atmosphere made the event all the more touching and we cannot wait to attend more, to celebrate the other work of fellow filmmakers. Very meticulous film festival, despite being in its infancy. Brilliant communication and even better hospitality.
