Screenings at Big Muddy, San Diego Underground, and Harkat 16mm Film festivals; Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Mingei International Museum, and Hyperreal Vegas Residency. Recipient of grants from American Artists, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, Avery-Tsui Foundation, and William Male Foundation. Lopex shoots exclusively on celluloid film.

In collaboration with Kodak Film and FotoKem, Lopex established the Standard Fantastic Transborder Film Fellowship providing resources and mentorship for young filmmakers to produce 16mm narrative films within the US/Mexico Transborder region. Lopex serves on the Advisory Council for the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts at University of California San Diego.
