obsessive chrystmas - straight outta lockdown

We're looking for moving images produced during lockdown! The world stood still, but in some flats, houses or wherever filmmakers self-isolated, creativity thrived! We want to showcase that creativity!
Send us your feature films, shorts or mini-series! We want to show them to our audience!

This is the seventh edition of what started as the "Obsessive Underground Film Festival" seven years ago, in 2014.

A Film Festival, aiming to show the work of independent, obsessive filmmakers. We're looking for inventive and unique movies, that tell unconventional stories in unconventional ways, genre-bending, innovative and entertaining.
We love fantasy, horror, scifi, comedy and everything in between. We're open to all films, regardless of the genre, they only have to be extraordinarily individual.

The cutting edge program consists of shorts, feature films and live podcasts.
Our festival has a devoted fanbase and we've gotten a lot of media attention over the last seven years.

German film legend Dietrich Kuhlbrodt (who has been acting in films by Lars von Trier and Christoph Schlingensief, among many others) said, our festival had "The same atmosphere as the beginnings of the underground scene in the 70's" and he knows - He was there.

1. obsessive chrystmas will be held December 2021 in Hamburg, Germany.

2. Submissions are accepted only via FilmFreeway.

Please don't re-submit a project that was part of the official selection of a previous edition of the festival.

For Submission purposes your film may be in any language. However, if not in English or German the film must have either English or German subtitles.

3. All films are viewed by the OUFF organizers, a team of international filmmakers working in the indie-film industry.

All decisions are final and feedback for individual films is not available.

4. For screening at the festival, the filmmakers must provide their films as a video file (.avi, .mpeg, etc) or as a BluRay.

I was indeed very surprised by the quality of the films and overall underground feeling of the festival -- film for film sake! I confess I got a little confused about the minimalism of the festival -- no ostentation, no publicity, no exceptional film screening room, but I think this is the spirit of the festival - films for the films. At the end, in a dark room, film is just what matter, right?!!! and I was so pleased to be part of such an underground event in which celebrate movies.
