Fantasic festival and great communication. Thank you so much for recognising my work! I was over the moon to hear that my short film, "Triple Oppression", won the Best Inspirational Film award! I am forever grateful! It made my year!

I a BEYOND delighted to write a review for the NY Film Awards. Firstly, what an amazing honor to be so publicly affirmed for my work during one of the most significant days of the year for NYC (9/11): it is such a great kindness to celebrate someone else during a difficult day for the NY community, so I wanted to thank you - says a lot about the heart of this fest: to selflessly celebrate YOU the filmmaker for YOUR benefit (above their own).

Second, with everything NYC is going through during a season of incredible suffering (2020 Pandemic), the City that never sleeps, the People that always get back up and come out swinging, continued on with this film festival to celebrate and award the filmmakers with the same grit: to keep going, keep creating, keep pressing on. NYFA celebrates the entrepreneurial fighter that epitomizes the indie filmmaker: the filmmaker that doesn't take "no" for an answer, who is inspired when doors close in their face, who turns the camera ON when the lights turn OFF, who sees a mosaic masterpiece when the world sees shattered shards of glass, who says to adversity, "Bring it on and I'll make you into my greatest success!" This is what NYFA is for the 2020 filmmaker and for the filmmaking industry. The "yes," the "opened door alternative," the grip and gaffer when your camera is rolling, the gallery to display your mosaic, and the platform showcase that will help that adversity BECOME a success.

What a privilege to have been grafted into the NYFA filmmaker family and so FANTASTICALLY awarded for being one of the 2020 overcomers!: Nominated for Best Picture Twice! (Two Projects), Winner 3 times over (3Projects)! Best Parody, Best Microfilm, and Best Trailer: all on September 11th, 2020.

If you are a fighter with a dream and have a project that showcases your grit, NYFA is the place to pitch and see what happens! Thank You NYFA!
