The Malvin and Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival is one of the premiere Jewish cultural events in the state. Founded in 2000 by Caren and Herbert Ford and based at JCC MetroWest, the film festival was renamed in 2025 to recognize a generous annual grant awarded to JCC MetroWest from the Malvin and Greta Roesch Film Festival Endowment Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ. The Malvin and Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival features first-run Israeli, American, and international films of Jewish interest, followed by thought-provoking speakers and discussions. It fosters the growth of Jewish culture, identity, and community in New Jersey by sharing the work of Jewish artists with a wide and growing audience. In addition to our springtime film festival, JCC MetroWest offers J-Films programming throughout the year.

Films considered for the Malvin and Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival must engage with Jewish religious or cultural themes, ideas, or content. Having a Jewish protagonist or a Jewish filmmaker, alone, will not be sufficient if the film does not engage meaningfully with Jewish identity, culture, etc. We will not program films that are streaming for free on YouTube or other sites at the time of the festival.

It was an honor for "Kaleidoscope Eyes - A Legacy in Stained Glass" to be selected for the Malvin and Greta Roesch New Jersey Jewish Film Festival. Working with Stuart Weinstock was a pleasure. He is a true professional with a love for film and supporting filmmakers. The venue, volunteers and post screening meet & greet made for a wonderful day.

We were so glad that two of our graduate films were accepted this year. Communication with Stuart was easy and efficient. We will definitely submit again next year.

What a wonderful festival - thank you! Great organization, friendly and very helpful. A boon to filmmakers. We are so happy you chose "Out of Exile - The Photography of Fred Stein" for the festival. Peter
