Entered the Kazakh Academy of Arts in 1996 (graduated in 2001).
After making the short film Antiromantika (2001) was selected for 4 month stay in the Residence of the Cannes Festival in Paris. Member of SACD (Author’s society, France).
Made his first long feature Little Men in 2002-2003.
